Got told my seam cuts were too straight on a job in Spokane back in 2015, changed how I handle pattern matching.

Spokane 2015, huh? I guess I'm the odd one out here because I honestly don't see why straight seams are such a big deal. To me, it sounds like someone just had a strong opinion and it stuck with you, but at the end of the day, a seam is a seam. Are we really pretending there's some deep, universal rule that pattern matching has to look a certain way or it's wrong?
