Got schooled by an old timer on a job in Tampa last month about seam placement.

I was laying a big roll in a living room and planned to put the seam right down the middle, like I always do. He stopped me, pointed at the window light, and said 'That sun will make that seam look like a canyon by next year, put it on the shadow line.' Now I'm rethinking my whole approach. Where do you guys usually plan your seams in a sunlit room?

Ever try to hide a seam and just end up making a whole new feature wall? That old timer's got a point about the light.

Totally! I hide mine in the shadow line too, @phoenixgonzalez.

Man that's the worst, I've definitely turned a quick patch into an entire afternoon project before.
