Glue-down vs stretch-in for a tricky basement slab
Ngl, I had a job last month in a basement in Evanston where the concrete was kind of rough and had a moisture issue. I debated between glue-down carpet tile and traditional stretch-in with padding for about an hour before deciding. I went with the glue-down because I figured it would handle the moisture better long term. Honestly, it took way longer to prep the floor than I expected, but the final install was clean and no ripples at all. Has anyone else had to choose between these two for a slab that wasn't perfect?

Man, rough slabs are the worst. Solidarity on that Evanston moisture battle.

10 months of dry sand and a trowel, that's the real deal.
