Gave up my power stretcher for a knee kicker on a tight job in Boston

I spent 10 years swearing by my power stretcher for every room, but last month I took a small apartment job in Back Bay where the master bedroom was barely 10x12 with three doorways. The installer I was helping said a knee kicker would be faster and less risk of ripping the pad in that cramped space. I tried it and he was right - I finished that room in under an hour with no re-stretches needed. Has anyone else switched tools for a specific layout and been surprised by the result?

Never liked knee kickers but that room layout totally proved me wrong.

Jumped right into that knee kicker life after reading this, @abbyr96. Your comment hit home because I had a similar situation with a weird L-shaped hallway last month. A power stretcher would have been a nightmare trying to get the right angle, but the knee kicker let me work each section one at a time without fighting the tool. It really changed my mind about that tool. Now I keep both in my truck for tight spots.
