Figured those $12 seam irons off Amazon were junk, ate my words on a 40 yard stretch in Mesa
A guy at the supply house kept telling me to try a cheap seam iron for small closets and patching jobs instead of dragging out my big one, and I finally gave in last month. Used it on three bedrooms in Mesa and the seams laid down flat with no bubble, plus I wasn't tripping over a cord every two minutes. Anyone else got a cheap tool that ended up earning its spot in the van?
Ha! Same thing happened to me with a $20 caulk gun from Harbor Freight. Bought it as a backup and now it's the only one I reach for. Sometimes the cheap stuff just works.
