Bought a $250 carpet kicker and my knees fired me the same day
So I finally dropped $250 on a Roberts power stretcher after doing 15 years of nothing but kicker work, and I gotta say I was kinda pissed I waited so long. My knees were shot after a 1,200 sq ft stretch in a rental over in Aurora, and my buddy kept telling me to just get the stretcher. First job with it was a 3 room pull last Tuesday and I finished in 4 hours instead of the usual 7, and my body didnt hate me after. But now I'm second guessing if I should've gone with the cheaper one or just rented when I need it. Any of you guys run a power stretcher full time or still kick everything?
Four hours instead of seven is worth way more than $250 over a year, so dont second guess it lol. Renting only works if you can plan every job around it, and you know how that goes when a customer calls last minute. Keep the one you got and let your knees enjoy the break.
