Appreciation post: I thought seam tape was a waste of money on padding that thick
Two years back I told a guy in Sacramento that taping seams on 8 lb pad was overkill, and I ran jobs without it for a while. Then a stretch in a rental duplex on Folsom Blvd started peeling apart at the seam about 6 months in, and the roll of tape would have cost me $9. Now I tape every seam on pad over 6 lb, so what pad weight do you all cut it off at?
