The laser level I mocked at my cousin's site actually saved my butt on a stair job
I spent 9 years in Portland doing staircases with a string line and a 4 foot level, told him his $300 rotary laser was a toy for guys who can't read a bubble. Last month I had to set 14 stringers on a curved entryway and the damn thing squared up my compound angles in about 20 minutes flat. Has anyone else eaten their words on a tool you swore was overkill, or are we still keeping the string lines out of pride?
