Showerthought: I tried two ways to keep my miter saw table flat and one worked way better.

For years I just screwed a sheet of MDF to my sawhorses, but it always sagged after a few weeks. Last month I built a simple torsion box frame underneath from some scrap 2x4s, and it hasn't moved a hair. What's your go-to method for a solid, portable cutting surface?

Ever try the old plywood-on-sawhorses trick? I did that for ages and the sag drove me nuts. Your torsion box idea is the real fix, in my experience.

Tell me about it, that sag is the worst.

Cracked a few beers and a few sheets of MDF before I figured out the torsion box trick myself. That sag was so bad I started wondering if my cuts were drunk too. Torsion box all the way, now my only problem is tripping over the scrap pile.
