Saw a guy at the Boise ReStore using a cabinet door as a straightedge, and it actually worked
I was digging through the salvage bins at the ReStore on State Street last Saturday and this older fella was checking his cuts against a flat oak cabinet door he'd pulled off the shelf for $6. He said he's been doing it for years because a factory door is dead flat and way cheaper than a fancy straightedge. Any of you ever grabbed something off a scrap pile that turned out to be a better tool than the one you bought?
