I was picking up lumber when a guy mistook me for a store employee

I had on my tool belt after a job. He started asking me detailed questions about faucet installation. Does this happen to you often?

Happens all the time if I'm in any store looking even slightly focused. My move is to cut it off fast. I just say, "Sorry man, I don't work here," and then I point toward the actual customer service desk. If they're still being cool about it, sometimes I'll throw in the one thing I do know about what they're asking. But you gotta shut it down quick or you'll be there for twenty minutes.
