Had to pick between a 12-inch sliding miter saw or a 10-inch stationary one for a built-in project

I went with the 12-inch slider for the extra crosscut capacity on the wide shelving boards. It worked out, but the thing is a beast to move around my truck. Anyone have a good system for hauling a heavy saw without wrecking your back?

A good moving dolly with straps is the only way I handle mine. The saw stays on the dolly from the garage floor right into the truck bed. It saves a lot of lifting and awkward carrying.

Smart. @markm27, that's a solid plan. What kind of dolly are you using though? The ones with the tiny wheels always catch on my garage lip. Do you have bigger wheels on yours? Straps are a must, I learned that the hard way. My saw almost took a dive.
