Watched a guy get passed over at my office in Peoria and it made me rethink how I ask for raises
Last month our manager pulled three of us into a room at the Peoria office to hand out the yearly promotions, and I watched a coworker who works way harder than me get skipped. Turns out he never once wrote down what he finished, so when review time came he had nothing to point at and just said he stays busy. I went home that night and started a plain text file called wins.txt, and I add one line to it every Friday before I log off. It takes 30 seconds and I already used it to ask for a $2,000 bump. Does anyone else keep a running list like this, or do you just wing it at review time?
