Vent: My company's culture shift from 2021 to now is jarring
Back in 2021 we had weekly team lunches and the boss actually knew our names. Fast forward to last month, I got a generic email about "synergy goals" from someone I've never met. The CEO pushed a return to office policy and half the good people quit within 3 weeks. Has anyone else watched a workplace go from family feeling to corporate robot in just a couple years?

Started keeping a list of what I actually needed from a job and ignored all the buzzwords.

Oh yeah, I stopped trying to get the "family feeling" back because it was clearly gone for good. I made a short list of what actually mattered to me - fair pay, decent hours, and people who don't micromanage - and started ignoring all the culture talk. Once I quit chasing the old vibe and just focused on the basics, my next job search went way smoother.
