My manager in Austin said keep a folder of my wins, 14 months later it saved my job
When I started my first real office job in Austin, my manager Cheryl said to keep a folder of every win with dates and numbers. I thought it was dumb busywork at first. I did it anyway, and by layoff season I had 22 pages showing projects I led, sales numbers I hit, and emails from happy clients. Two people on my team got cut and I stayed, and I really think that folder is part of why. Nobody ever asked to see it, it just made me calm in the room when HR was talking. Has anyone else had a small habit like this pay off way bigger than expected?
