Gave $500 to a resume writer and got a template from 2015
After 4 months of zero callbacks in Seattle, I paid a popular resume service $500 to rewrite mine. They sent back a document with skill bars and an objective section, stuff nobody has used in a decade. I sent it out for 2 weeks, still crickets. Then a friend in HR told me the ATS was probably tossing it because of the columns and graphics. I rebuilt it myself in plain text, landed 3 interviews within 2 weeks. Has anyone else wasted cash on these services, or did you find one that actually helped?
