Chose the $52k office job over the $68k remote one and I'm second guessing it at 3 months in
Back in March I had two offers on the table at the same time, one was a hybrid office role in downtown Denver paying $52k and the other was fully remote out of a company based in Ohio paying $68k. I went with the office one because it came with health coverage on day 1 and I was scared the remote place would ghost me since the recruiter went quiet for a week. Three months in and I'm doing a 45 minute commute each way while my buddy who took the remote gig is done by 4 every day. My rent is $1,450 and that missing $16k is real money, I feel it every month. Did anyone else pass on more cash for stability and regret it, or did it actually pan out for you later?
