Am I the only one who gets more done when I skip the morning check-in?

I started skipping our daily team huddle this week just to see. My focus is way better without that half hour of updates. But now I feel guilty for missing out on group info. Is this a bad habit or a smart move for getting deep work done?

How bad is it really to miss a huddle if your work improves?

Skipping huddles cuts you off from team flow. That half hour saves hours of mess later when projects get out of sync. It's a trade-off that rarely pays off.

Read this article about how some teams are trying "silent huddles" where everyone just posts their updates in a chat for ten minutes. You could read them when you need a break instead of stopping your work flow. That way you still get the team info without the meeting breaking your focus. Maybe you could suggest something like that? What do you think your boss would say about a trial run?
