Watched a guy fold a plain Amazon box into a kid's castle in 20 minutes and it made me rethink my whole stash
I used to save every box thinking I needed the perfect big one, but last Saturday at the park this dad cut two flaps, taped three seams, and had towers with battlements before my kids even finished their juice boxes. Turns out a standard 18 inch box and a box cutter beat my garage full of 'someday' cardboard. Anyone else find that smaller boxes with a plan work better than hoarding giant ones?
I mean sure that guy was fast but he was also at a park with nothing else to do and probably practiced that castle a dozen times at home first. My garage stash is a mess but when my kid wants a rocket ship there is no 18 inch box on earth that gets you a rocket ship, you need the big weird one that the vacuum came in. Small boxes are great until your kid asks for a fort they can actually sit inside, and then you are back at the dumpster behind Best Buy on a Tuesday.
