The kid's cardboard castle in Chicago sold me on paper mache hinges
I watched a 9 year old at Navy Pier open and close a castle door 40 times with hinges made of newspaper and glue, now I'm ditching my duct tape for anything that needs to move more than twice.

That kid basically reinvented the wheel but with old sports section and Elmer's glue. I watched my own nephew try to open a cardboard fridge door with duct tape hinges, thing lasted maybe 3 opens before it turned into a sad floppy pancake. Paper mache is just cheat codes for kids who got time and patience, meanwhile I'm out here acting like a grown man who can't fold a pizza box back shut. Gotta admit, a 9 year old doing 40 hinge cycles is more engineering than half the stuff I fix in a week. Now I'm half tempted to make my own paper mache hinges for my toolbox just to prove a point. Kids making me look bad, and I'm honestly here for it.
