PSA: My kid's comment about my cardboard castle changed everything

My 7 year old said the walls on my castle looked "squishy"... I was using too much hot glue and it was warping the panels. I switched to tacky glue and let each section dry for 3 hours before moving on, and the walls are actually straight now. Anyone else battle with glue warping their builds?

Found myself thinking about this while fixing a wobbly table leg last week. Same exact principle with wood glue vs superglue. If you rush the drying time on something that needs to hold its shape, you're basically fighting against yourself. The stuff that works fast just pulls everything out of alignment because it's not giving the materials time to settle. Really makes you stop and think about how we try to shortcut things in life, whether it's a glue job or a conversation or a project at work. Taking the extra hour or two upfront saves you from tearing it apart and starting over later.

Nah, sometimes fast is fine if you don't mind a little wobble...
