My neighbor said cardboard furniture is 'just trash with tape' and now I can't stop thinking about it
So I was hauling three flattened moving boxes up to my apartment in Boise last Saturday and my neighbor Dave watched me the whole time, then said cardboard builds are "just trash with tape." I laughed it off, but then I started wondering if he has a point about the looks side of things. My coffee table build holds my TV fine, but I will admit it looks rough next to his $200 particle board one from Walmart. So which matters more here, that a build works and costs nothing, or that it actually looks good in your living room? I want to hear from people who have done both, paint and paper or just bare brown cardboard.
