Just realized Im scoring my flaps wrong on big builds, been doing it backwards for months
Been making cardboard armor and props for like 6 months now. Last week I was putting together a chest piece for a local Ren faire guy and I kept getting these ugly gaps at the corners. Took me 3 tries before I figured out the issue. I was scoring the inside of the fold line when I shoulda been scoring the outside for the way I was bending. Sounds dumb but it changes everything. The cardboard cracks clean on the scored side and bulges on the other. Once I flipped it, the corners came out sharp and tight. Wasted like half a big appliance box before that clicked. Anyone else run into this or do yall have a weird scoring habit that just works for you?
