Doubled my cardboard armor weight and it actually got easier to move in
I used to think lighter armor was always better, you know, less drag when you're running around a con or doing a living room raid. Then I built a knight set for a Halloween thing in Austin last month and added those interior support ribs made from folded pizza box flaps. That extra 4 pounds of structure stopped the whole chest piece from sagging and swinging side to side. Instead of fighting the wobble, my shoulders finally carried the load steady. It felt like wearing a backpack that fits right, not a cardboard flail. For me, that changed the whole build approach, now I plan for weight to hold shape. Has anyone else found that adding bulk in the right spots beats keeping things as thin as possible?
