Appreciation post: corrugated cardboard actually gets stronger after the first bend
I read on a packaging engineer's blog about a year ago that one fold along the corrugation line can boost a panel's stiffness way more than I expected, and it made me rethink how I build my forts. I used to tape flat sheets together and wonder why the walls kept sagging by the second day. Now I score and crease every joint first, and the last castle I built for my nephew in the garage held up through a whole birthday party with 7 kids climbing on it. Does anyone else crease before they tape, or am I the only one who learned this the hard way?
