Am I the only one who missed plain tape for box forts?
Been building cardboard forts with my kids for like 15 years now, and lately every tutorial I see online is all about hot glue guns or those fancy colored duct tapes. I get it, they look cool in photos, but man, they miss the point. Plain old packing tape, the wide clear stuff, that's what holds a real fort together. I tried the hot glue route last month with my nephew, and we spent more time waiting for the gun to heat up than actually building. Plus the glue peels right off that shiny cardboard surface after a day. Packing tape flexes with the box, it's cheap, and you can tear it with your teeth when your hands are full. Anyone else still rocking the roll of clear tape over all the fancy stuff, or am I just stuck in the past?
