Warning about the new 'quick-set' tent poles from Summit Peak

Had a pole snap clean through at the second joint during a sudden wind gust at Crater Lake, leaving us scrambling with a tarp and paracord for shelter. Has anyone else had a failure with this specific model, or found a good replacement pole set that's actually durable?

Used to think it was just bad luck too, but seeing it happen twice in a row changed my mind.
