Tried those fancy titanium camping cups and burned my lip off
Ngl, I thought spending $35 on a lightweight titanium cup would make me feel like a pro camper, but that thing conducts heat like crazy. Took one sip of my morning coffee and instantly regretted not using my old plastic mug. Has anyone else switched back to cheap gear after a bad experience?

I did the same thing with a stainless steel bottle once. Kept wondering why my water tasted weird and then realized I was basically drinking out of a hot soda can in the summer. Got a nasty burn on my tongue that took forever to heal. Now I stick with the old scratched up plastic bottles that came free with a tent purchase years ago.

Oh dude, does that tongue burn take forever to heal or what? I did the same thing with a metal coffee mug in the car once, thought I was being fancy but forgot it was sitting in direct sun for two hours. Ended up with a blister on the roof of my mouth that made eating anything spicy a nightmare for a week. That free tent bottle might be scratched up but at least it won't melt your face off. Honestly, sometimes the cheap stuff just wins.
