Tried a hammock setup vs a ground tent for 3 nights in the Smokies

I always used a tent but borrowed a buddy's hammock with a bug net and tarp last month. Woke up way less stiff and didn't have to worry about rocks or roots at all. Anyone else switch for good after trying it out?

That old tent of mine always had me waking up with a rock digging into my hip no matter how careful I was with site selection. Best part about the hammock was how quick it was to set up after a long day on the trail, just find two trees and you're done. Ran into a fella once who swore by his hammock after a bad back injury fixed him right up. Only trouble I had was getting the tarp pitch right to keep dry in a sudden thunderstorm that came through around midnight.
