The zipper trick that saved my tent last weekend
Woke up at 3am in Shenandoah to find my tent zipper stuck halfway up. Wind was picking up and rain was starting. I was about to just sit there and wait it out when I remembered a tip about rubbing a candle along the zipper track. Found a cheap tea light in my cook kit, ran it up and down the zipper a few times, and it slid right open. Been camping 8 years and never thought to try that. Anyone else got a random fix that saved a trip?

That's a solid trick. Heard a similar one where you can use a bar of soap on the zipper instead of a candle if you don't have one handy.

Usually the best life hacks come from just using whatever's around you, isn't it? It's funny how many everyday problems have a common solution if you think sideways about it. Like how a bar of soap or a candle both just add lubrication (fancy word for slippery stuff) to a stuck zipper.
