Seeing so many glowing reviews for camping gear with built-in speakers

I keep coming across videos and articles raving about tents or lanterns that have Bluetooth speakers built in. It's weird to me because camping is usually about getting away from all that noise. Like, who really needs music pumping from their sleeping bag? Plus, adding electronics means more batteries to worry about and more things that can fail in damp conditions. A simple portable speaker you already own seems way more practical. I feel like this trend is just creating solutions for problems that don't exist. Maybe I'm old school, but I'd rather hear the bugs and the creek.

You're right about it solving problems that don't exist. It just locks you into one speaker that will probably break, instead of using whatever you already have. The whole point is to unplug, not to drag your living room into the woods.

My last camping trip involved three separate gadgets to do what a campfire does for free. I might be the problem.

My family used a lantern with built-in speakers last weekend at Pine Creek. It was nice to have some low music by the fire without packing a separate gadget. What kind of camping trips do you usually go on?
