Pro tip: I was setting up my tent in the rain for the third time this month and finally saw the light
I've been camping for years and always got a wet floor in my old 'North Face Stormbreak 2' when it rained. Last weekend at Lake Tahoe, a guy at the next site pointed out I was staking the rain fly way too close to the tent body. He showed me how to pull the guy lines out further to create a real air gap. My tent stayed bone dry the whole night even in a downpour. Has anyone else had a rain fly setup trick that seems obvious once you know it?

Classic case of missing the obvious fix.

Ever feel like the answer is right in front of you but you're staring at the ceiling? I do that all the time. My specialty is making simple things way harder than they need to be.

Tell me about it, I get stuck in my own head like that constantly. What kind of stuff usually trips you up, is it work problems or just everyday life stuff? I swear my brain adds extra steps just for the fun of it sometimes lol.
