That $45 lens cleaner that nearly cost me a wedding shoot
Last month in Philly, I grabbed a bottle of that fancy sensor cleaner from the camera shop, the one with the blue label. Sprayed it on a mirrorless body, and the whole sensor turned cloudy, thought I fried it. Turns out the nozzle was mislabeled and it was glass polish, not sensor safe. Spent 6 hours at a bench in the back of the store with a solvent kit from a buddy in Jersey, got it clean, but the client's a cousin so she still paid. Has anyone else had a bad batch from that brand, or am I just cursed with slippery fingers?

That exact blue label bottle almost cost me a gig last spring. I had a Canon R6 and used it on a dusty sensor before a big portrait session. The haze looked like someone breathed on a cold window, and I panicked hard. My fix was a bit different though, I used a fresh swab with pure alcohol and did about twenty gentle passes. It came back clean, but I swore off that brand forever and now I only buy the individually sealed wipes from a supplier in Delaware. You got lucky your cousin still paid, but that six hour bench time sounds like a nightmare I wouldn't wish on anyone. Did you end up reporting the mislabeled nozzle to the shop, or just let it slide?
