Still think it's a waste of time to calibrate shutters on old folders
Last month I had a Zeiss Nettar that tested at 1/50th instead of 1/100th, took me 20 minutes to adjust the spring tension, and now it nails every frame, so has anyone else found that those old cloth shutters actually respond better to tuning than people give them credit for?

Absolutely, those old cloth shutters really wake up with a little love.

@the_felix Have you tried using a gentle heat gun on those cloth shutters before cleaning them? I find warming up the fabric a little loosens all the old dust and grime that gets baked into the fibers over the years. Makes a huge difference when you're trying to bring back that original texture without damaging anything.
