Shoutout to the guy who showed me the right way to clean a mirror box

I was using a regular microfiber cloth for years, but he pointed out the tiny fibers can snag on the foam light seals. Now I only use a blower and a lens brush for that area. Anyone else have a specific tool they switched to for a common job?

My old Canon kit lens taught me the same lesson.

Totally get that, @abbyk10. Those kit lenses force you to learn composition because you can't just rely on fancy blur. Makes you a better photographer in the end.

Wait, so you're saying you actually liked the experience of being stuck with a kit lens? I remember hating mine so much I almost quit photography entirely. But I guess you're right about the composition thing, even if it was painful at the time.
