Had a Canon AE-1 shutter curtain jam right as a client walked in
I was in the middle of a CLA in my home shop when it just froze up. Anyone know a solid method for freeing those without stressing the ribbon cables?

My old Nikon F3 locked up on me at my sister's wedding years ago. I used to think mechanical cameras were bulletproof, but that moment changed my mind completely.

That "bulletproof" comment struck a chord. I remember a friend of mine had his Pentax K1000 jam up during a friend's graduation ceremony and he had to borrow a disposable camera from someone in the crowd to get through it. He spent the whole afternoon gently working on the shutter button with a tiny drop of lighter fluid on a q-tip, and it eventually freed up without any damage.
