From prying to soaking: my wake-up call on stuck lens parts
I used to jump right in with tools when lens elements seized up. After cracking a rare find, I learned that slow soaking in the right fluid saves the day. Now I won't touch a vintage piece without it. What liquids do you folks trust for this job? Looking to improve my process.

Wait, you cracked a rare find? That's a tough lesson, but soaking saves the day.

Soak everything until it gives up, @quinn_young. It's the same rule for old lenses and the pipes under my sink.
