Warning: that $120 cable raceway kit from the home store was a total waste of money
Everyone keeps saying to buy those plastic channel kits to hide wires behind a desk, so I dropped $120 on a full set for my setup in Austin. The adhesive gave out on day three and one channel came crashing down with my monitor cable still clipped inside it. I ended up doing what my dad does, which is zip ties and a $6 roll of velcro tape from the hardware store. That cheap combo has held for 8 months now with zero issues. The fancy kit is still sitting in my garage half used because I am too stubborn to toss it. Is there a mount or brand that actually sticks to painted drywall, or is adhesive just a scam for everyone?
