Vent: My friend's 'wire dungeon' made me realize I'm not as bad as I thought

I went over to my buddy Mark's place last night to help him set up his new TV. I walked behind his entertainment center to plug in the HDMI and nearly got tangled in this nightmare of extension cords and old speaker wire from like 2008. He just shrugged and said 'it's fine, I never look back there.' I mean, I knew my desk was a mess but seeing his setup hit different. Does anyone else have a friend who makes your own chaos look respectable?

bro same energy here and I felt that so hard. my cousin has a setup behind his TV that looks like a rat king of power strips and random cables from like 2012. i went to plug in my laptop once and legit found a dead beetle stuck to some old coax cable back there. he said the same thing like "oh i never go back there" and i was just standing there thinking wow i guess my own cable management isn't that tragic after all. makes you wonder how many people just have a secret wildfire waiting to happen behind their furniture and don't even care. honestly its kind of freeing to know someone out there is worse at this than you are.
