Velcro straps vs. twist ties: don't make my mistake

I used twist ties on the cables behind my TV for 6 months and every time I needed to unplug something it was a tangled nightmare. Switched to Velcro straps last week and now I can swap out my PS5 cable in 10 seconds flat. Has anyone else found a cheap alternative that actually works?

yeah i saw a youtube video where a guy compared this exact thing and he also mentioned using those little silicone cable clips that stick to the back of your desk or TV stand. they're like 5 bucks for a pack of 20 on amazon and they hold individual cables so you don't even need the straps. i tried it on my setup and honestly it's way cleaner than twist ties or velcro for stuff you dont move around a lot.

actually those silicone clips are great but they have a pretty big downside nobody talks about. the adhesive strips they come with are junk, they'll fall off after a few weeks if your desk gets even slightly warm or dusty. i learned that the hard way when my cable management turned into a sticky mess behind my TV stand. you're better off using 3M command strips with those cheap plastic cable clips from Home Depot, they hold way better and don't leave residue when you peel them off. the silicone ones work fine if you're attaching them to a clean glass surface or something, but on wood or painted drywall they just don't stick long term. have you had any issues with yours falling off or did you stick them to something different?
