Switched from zip ties to velcro wraps after 15 years of mess

I finally gave up on using zip ties for my desk cables after cutting my hand on a loose end for the third time. Got a 50 pack of velcro wraps from the hardware store for like 8 bucks and re-did everything behind my monitor stand. Anyone else make the switch and find it way easier to change stuff around later?

I read something not long ago about how zip ties actually cause more micro-cracks in cables over time compared to velcro, especially if you cinch them down too tight. That got me thinking about all the old phone chargers I had that just stopped working for no obvious reason. For me, the biggest win with velcro is not having to cut anything when I need to swap out a monitor or add a new device behind my desk. It's a small change but it really cuts down on the hassle, and you don't end up with a pile of plastic trash every time you rearrange.

Ngl, I've definitely blamed a few dead chargers on bad luck before.
