Spent 45 minutes untangling one single cable nest behind my desk last night

Turned out the problem was a cheap extension cord that was too short, so I spliced in a longer one and now it's worse than before, anyone else waste an hour for literally zero improvement?

Pulled my whole entertainment center out yesterday trying to fix a power strip that kept tripping the breaker. Ended up with a tangled mess of HDMI cables and old phone chargers I forgot were even back there. After an hour of fighting with zip ties and labeling stuff, I realized I had just created a new, slightly prettier version of the same disaster. Put it all back exactly how it was and called it a win just to get the TV working again.

honestly idk why people act like this is some kind of life crisis. its just cables. you put them in a pile and they stay there til you need them again. i got a rats nest under my desk that looks like a spider built a condo and i still get internet just fine.
