Shoutout to the guy at the Dayton Micro Center who told me to count my zip ties before every job
I used to just grab a handful and start tying, but he told me to lay them all out first. First job after that, I counted 43 zip ties on one desk setup and found 6 that were loose and about to fall. If I had not counted, those would have dropped behind the cabinet and I would have never known. Has anyone else tried counting first, or do you just eyeball it?
Laying things out before you start works for anything, recipes, packing a bag, even grocery runs. You catch the missing pieces before they turn into a problem you can't see.
