Last Tuesday my PS5 actually overheated because the cable nest behind my TV was so thick it blocked the airflow

I had to pull the whole entertainment center out and untangle six years of accumulated HDMI and power cables just to get the thing running again, and now I'm staring at this mess wondering if anyone else has ever had their electronics choke on their own wiring mess.

Six years of accumulated HDMI and power cables" sounds like a you problem, honestly. That extra insulation probably saved your console from dust and helped the cables last longer lol.

lol yeah I actually saw some article saying that leaving cables plugged in without tension is better for the connectors in the long run. I mean, it's not like that thick layer of dust is doing any harm either, it's basically free insulation. Maybe the real problem is just people not wanting to admit they haven't cleaned behind their TV in six years.
