I thought zip ties were fine for behind the TV, then my router started dropping signal
I used to just bundle all my HDMI and power cables behind the TV with zip ties and call it done. Then a few weeks ago my wifi kept cutting out in the living room and I could not figure out why. Turned out I had wrapped the router's power cord tight against a fat bundle of other cords, and a buddy who does low voltage work told me tight bundling can mess with signal and heat. I cut all the ties off and switched to velcro straps with some space between runs, and the dropouts stopped within 2 days. What gets me is how many people on here still post pics of a brick of zip ties and think that is clean. It looks tidy but you can't change a single cable without cutting the whole thing apart. Velcro costs like $8 for a roll and you can move stuff around anytime. Did anyone else have a signal or heat problem from packing cords too tight?
