Spent 45 minutes untangling a spool of RG6 yesterday
I grabbed a new box of cable from the truck and it was already spiderwebbed inside before I even pulled 10 feet. Ended up sitting on a customer's driveway cutting out the mess and splicing back together. Anybody else had bad luck with a certain batch of cable lately?

You ever have a box that looked fine on the outside but was just one giant birds nest the second you cracked it open? Had a whole spool of Cat5e do that to me last week, spent longer fighting it than running the actual cable.

Grab the box and spin it so the cable comes off the side instead of the middle. That's the trick I learned after tossing way too much footage from tangled spools. Also check the date code on the box - stuff that sat in a hot warehouse too long gets sticky and loves to knot up on its own. If you're pulling more than 20 feet at a time, let the box rest on its side and feed it out slow instead of yanking.
