Residential installs changed big time in the last 3 years
I've been doing cable installs since 2015 and I'm seeing way more fiber to the home jobs now. Back in 2020 most of my work was still copper coax, but now maybe 7 out of 10 new builds are all fiber. Anyone else notice this shift and have tips for terminating fiber in tight crawl spaces?

Man, fiber in crawl spaces is a real pain.

Yeah been there. @paulb98 the trick is to rough up the jacket a bit before you push it through. I tape a fish tape to the fiber and wrap electrical tape around the leading edge so it doesn't snag. Also run a pull string alongside it next time so you don't have to fight it again. Crawl spaces suck but a little prep beats redoing it.
