Realized I was putting connectors on backwards for 2 years
Sat down with a trainee last month in Mount Vernon and he asked why I crimp before I pull the jacket back. I said that is how I was taught, then watched him do it the right way in 20 seconds. All that time I was fighting the cable because the jacket was pushing against the crimp ring instead of sliding clean. Took me 2 years and a rookie question to fix something I should have caught on my first day. Anyone else have a habit they picked up early that turned out to be wrong the whole time?
