Pulled a staple through a brand new coax in Merrillville and had to think fast
Was running a drop in a crawlspace under a house in Merrillville last Tuesday and my staple gun caught the edge of a fresh RG6 about 6 inches from the plate. Heard that crunch and knew I'd nicked the shield. Instead of ripping the whole run out, I cut the line at the damage, put in a barrel connector, and re-terminated both ends. Tested it with my meter and got a clean signal, no loss worth mentioning. Took me an extra 15 minutes but saved me pulling 40 feet of new wire through a tight run. Honestly has anyone else fixed a nick like this or do you just eat it and rerun the line?
