Pro tip: My old foreman told me to always carry a spare toner probe battery, and it saved my butt today
I was doing a drop in an old apartment building in Tacoma, and my toner just died halfway through tracing a line. I remembered he said 'keep a fresh 9-volt in your bag, you'll thank me later,' so I dug it out. Swapped it in under a minute and finished the job without having to go back to the truck. Has anyone else had a simple piece of advice turn out to be a total lifesaver on a job?

That old foreman wisdom is so true... it's the little things that stop a whole day from falling apart. Honestly, I started keeping spare batteries for everything after a similar mess, not just the toner. A dead laser level or a flashlight going dark at the wrong time can leave you just as stuck. Makes you realize how much we rely on these small, cheap parts to keep the big, expensive job moving.

Ha, yeah nothing makes you feel more prepared than a spare key taped to a bumper.

My boss made us tape a spare car key inside the bumper, which felt dumb until I locked mine in the van.
